Statement from Chief Observer

Motorcyclists represent 1% of traffic but account for 20% of those killed or seriously injured (KSI). Motorcyclists are 40x more likely to be killed than car drivers - Office for National Statistics

Having said that Motorcycling should always be FUN.

Bikers take every opportunity to enjoy the thrill of the open road come rain or shine. Yes, riding in the rain can be FUN!

We’ve all seen riders struggling, poor positioning and tension hindering their progress. It doesn’t have to be this way. Whether you’re new to biking or ridden for years but want to be the best you can, we can help you. We’ll take your riding skills to a level as high as you want to go. Your riding will begin to flow; you’ll feel more relaxed and make better progress with an increased margin of safety.

To minimise your chances of being affected by adverse riding conditions, or other people's mistakes, you need to take a planned and systematic approach to your riding. This means you'll anticipate hazards, spot them earlier and allow enough time and space to avoid them altogether. Even in the worse case scenario, you'll give yourself enough time to take evasive action.

Thinking ahead means that every manoeuvre is made in good time and under control – the IAM book “How to be a better rider” is provided as part of your welcome pack.

We teach you "The System" used by Advanced Riders and the Police. Applying "The System" doesn't remove every risk, but it does make you a significantly safer rider.

Not sure? Why not come along and meet us. All age groups are welcome, whatever you ride. Take a free assessment of your riding, further training really is FUN.
