Coronavirus (COVID-19) – CVAM Group advice

We have received official guidance from the IAM regarding the current stance to be taken in relation to Covid 19. Having discussed matters with the CVAM committee, the current position of the club is as follows:
Stop observed runs UNLESS the Observer and Associate agree to continue – this is for individuals to decide.
Stop all meetings and social gatherings – all committee and observer meetings and social nights will cease until further notice. Social gatherings also unfortunately applies to rideouts so therefore all official club rides will cease. If you choose to arrange your own rides within your social groups that is a matter for you to decide but we are unable to continue official CVAM club rides at this time.

The IAM message also states that clubs must cease recruitment activity, therefore we are unable to continue with our Super Saturday events or accept new Associates for now.

All riding tests and assessments are suspended until further notice which means we will have to postpone the crammer planned for next weekend to a date TBC.

In light of these recommendations and actions, where an associate’s membership expires, IAM will extend it, at no additional cost, for up to a further six months to enable all associates to complete their coaching and take their test without disadvantage. IAM will not be providing refunds of course fees.
