Pete will lead a ride to Motorcycle Exotica on the Dorset border:
A visit to Moto Corsa, Gillingham and the Newt Cafe
The route out is 45 miles: over the Mendips with a mixture of lanes and faster A and B roads. Via Blagdon, Charterhouse, Green Ore, Cranmore Tower, A brief stop to admire Nunney Castle, maiden Bradley, Kilmington , Zeals and then on to Moto Corsa in Gillingam SP8 4NW.
Moto Corsa is a dealer in exotic motorbikes ( Brough Superior , MV Augusta, Moto Guzzi , Energica etc) and the not so exotic Royal Enfield. https://www.motocorsa.co.uk/ The Newt café, at the back of the Moto Corsa showroom, is rated as one of the top ten biker cafes in the country by Motorcycle News and certainly when tested produced an excellent breakfast and coffee. https://www.cafe-newt.co.uk/
The route back is 56 miles of gently twisting A and B roads with some lanes to finish: via Sturminster Newton , Sherborne, Marston Magna, West Camel, Podimore, Charlton Adam, Street and Wedmore ending up at the Cheddar Garden centre BS27 3RU which also has an adequate café. The total route at 101 miles is not as long as earlier runs , but with the days shortening and the weather less reliable, It may be enough of an outing to blow a few cobwebs away.
Setting off from Langford as usual about 0900 after briefing at 0845 and arriving at Gillingham at about 1100. Have an hour at the café/ Moto Corsa or as long as people want and then get back to Cheddar by about 1430.
