PUT YOUR HANDS IN YOUR POCKETS - BIKERS FUND RAISING FOR WESTON HOSPICECARE AND ASHA

A couple of bikers from Weston-super-Mare are riding to Delhi later this year to raise money for charity - they set off on 9th September. One of their charities is Weston Hospicecare - take a look at their website and if you like what they are doing then throw a few quid their way!

Weston Hospicecare is a hospice situated in Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset. The Hospice cares for anyone who has a life-threatening illness and its catchment area goes as far north as Yatton and to the east as far as Cheddar and Draycott and as far south as Burnham on Sea and Wedmore.

IAM Group Achievement Awards (National Motorcycle Conference held at Warwick University on 28 June 2008)
CVAM was one of only approx. 15 other Groups who recieved a Certificate for being nominated as a potential winner of the award for the Group which had done the most to further the aims of the IAM and to recruit new associates to the motorcycle membership. The Certificate award was made to Maria Brierley, our Secretary, who attended the Conference with Tim Jeal (Treasurer) and who should now appear in a photograph in a future copy of the IAM magazine along with the other recipients.

Apparantly, the awards were made because the competition for the top places was so close, it was felt that these Group's achievements should not go unmarked.
