Bikesafe, this year not at Haines, but Castle Coombe racing circuit.
June 5th only, pre-book to get a ride on the track as well as the usual observed rides, big enthusiasm fronm the local dealers because of the location. Jim Newman will get the details out soon.

That sounds like a great day, keep us posted on that one. I took the Ducati 1198 out last time down at Haines but to go around Castle Combe on it would be a dream :D

Yes great venue but not a very central location in the South West region for the SOUTH WEST show........maybe the event will have to be renamed The Almost the most North Westerly of the South West Bikesafe show 8)

UPDATE:
The SRSP events page needs updating as well but they've updated their website calendar to a system I can't easily lift the info from...... Jim can you furnish me with a list please (if anyone speaks to Jim Newman please point him here;-)

Job done Andy - I've posted a thread in Courses and Training - http://www.cvam.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=696

The Bikesafe event at Castle Combe will take the form of an assessed road ride with a police officer followed by two short sessions on the track with track instructors. Numbers will be strictly limited on the day and any bike taking part will still need to meet the circuit's strict noise regulations (105db at 75% of the redline). I know it's absurd but a number of bikes are road legal and fresh out of the crate but they regularly fail to meet the noise regulations for the circuit (brand new R6, Fireblade, GSXR600, BMW S1000RR amongst others). Any bike failing the noise test may still be able to benefit from the road ride but would not be able to take part in the track element of the day.

The reason for moving the event to the circuit is to attract a wider audience and in terms of the dealership support there has already been a huge surge of interest that we haven't been able to capture down at Haynes. PCs Ian Marriott & Phil Scull have done an excellent job in drumming up support. As for the location, it's five of the regional forces that club together to deliver: Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Avon and Somerset, Devon and Cornwall, Dorset. The location may not be central to the 5 but it's still within their regional remit.

In the local local paper I see that FREEWHEELERS are holding a charity concert and ploughman's supper at Kewstoke village hall on February 6th at 7pm. Cost is £10. Local band The Fallen apples are "headlining". I have seen them play and thought them very good!! Tickets are available on 01934 522445

Hi all just had this in & thought it would be good for CVAM to recruit members, Freewheelers will be using it for the same.

This year we are planning to do mini open days every 2nd Saturday of the month starting from Saturday March the 13th til Saturday October 9th then dates as follows :
April 10th
May 8th
June 12th
July 10th
August 14th
September 11th
October 9th

We are planning on letting you have an area outside/inside to promote what you do. We will include you on our showroom notice board, we will also include the dates and who is coming in our bi monthly newsletter. Times would be very flexible as we are open from 9-5 on a Saturday but the main busy time is from 10 til 2,3 or 4 really so any time that would suit from 10am or earlier.

Let me know if you are interested and what day would be best.
We can link up several of you if we have lots of interest.
